The company's core business began in 2005, focusing on the welding of metal products and structures for industrial applications. Over time, the company underwent various transformations. Initially, it operated as a subcontractor for the Italian company BERCO SpA, manufacturing undercarriage beams for mini-excavators for John Deere, one of the world's leading brands. In 2008, a subsidiary was established under the name Berco Bulgaria EOOD as a branch of BERCO S.p.A. Italy—a global leader in the production of undercarriage components and assemblies for construction machinery, part of the German Thyssenkrupp AG group.

Over the years, the product range expanded to meet customer specifications for undercarriage beams and assemblies for major global brands such as JCB, CNH, WIRTGEN, ATLAS COPCO, VOGELE, BOMAG, FAE GROUP, VENIERI VF, TREVI GROUP-SOILMEC, among others.

Since 2024, due to the complex global economic climate, operations have continued under the newly established entity Balkan Weld Ltd. – Apriltsi. The experience accumulated over the years in producing welded undercarriage beams and components for construction machinery enabled us to expand our operations: manufacturing water jackets for wood and pellet boilers (as a subcontractor for Mareli Systems Ltd.), assembly of components and parts for agricultural machinery (as a subcontractor for Madara-Agro), lattice steel towers for the power transmission grid, and various other welded products for commercial and residential applications.

We possess modern welding equipment, which we continuously upgrade to match new technological standards. Product quality control and assurance are guaranteed using a FARO 3D coordinate measuring arm.
